Boston Acoustics TVEE2

This Boston Acoustics TVEE2 is a quality sound system for the price. It is very simple to set up. One draw back is that the audio out plug is RCA and some of today's TVs have no RCA plug (such as my LG) This requires a (90.00) adapter. Other than this, excellent product.
great sound for a small to med sized room

sounds great in my PC room, but after many attempts I have yet to get any of my remotes to work on the volume. mute works fine. so still adjusting volume manually.
Wireless interference issues... BUZZ

At first I set this up using my MacBook Pro, watching movies to my HDTV and noticed a buzzing sound. I thought this was caused by the computer/cable/speaker arrangement causing interference. Since then I have completed the HD setup, and continue to hear this constant BUZZ when the speaker turns on.

After a bit of experimentation, I have discovered that it seems to be coming from the wireless system.

This is very much a TV/PLASMA speaker replacement, your better off considering a PLASMA with decent speakers, than having to spend additional money, and space for this unit.

Look for Denon or Marantz sound bars if in the market.
Its neither bad not really great

I bought refurbished product.

I like the ease of setting up. 5 Stars

It does not have Digital audio input. But I do not know if it would matter with these 2.1 sound systems. So 4 stars

Sound out of soundbar is very good (clear and crisp). The main disappointment is with Sub woofer. It has the thump but it is not like other sub woofers(not crisp). Had the sub-woofer been bit better, it would have been 5 stars.

But I am pretty content with the system because I paid much less than I would have for other systems.

Good sound but...

The B.A. Sound bar had a good sound but the two problems I had was:
1. My Hitachi HDTV remote wasn't compatable with it.
2. The sound out inputs were RCA and I needed optical outs.
Quirky set-up, but vast improvement

As other reviewers have noted, the set-up (and remote learning function) is quirky and potentially frustrating. But once you've got this system set up, you should notice a VAST improvement over the sound from the TV speakers alone. I decided to set it up (with my Samsung HDTV and DirecTV) so that the TV speakers were still on at a modest level of volume -- and after tweaking the trim level (3 settings on rear panel of the soundbar) and output volume from the BA soundbar, I think I've found a nice volume mix for 90% of my TV listening. Also makes the sound of DVD movies sound MUCH better as well. Play around with placement of the subwoofer in your roof (behind your chair/sofa is probably best) and you'll approach quasi-surround sound experience for certain TV programs!

Overall, a good product... but don't have unrealistically high expectations.
A Little Disappointed

This soundbar comes only with the old analog cables. These cables won't even hook up to most newer tv's without having to get an adapter to got through the headphone jack. The wireless sub is a great feature and is simple, plug and play. Now for the sound bar itself. Plenty loud, BUT, no adjustments for treble, bass, etc. Only a trim adjustment, which at best makes the output tollerable. When watching tv or a movie, the background noises sound awesome. Problem is, the dialogue is virtually nonexistent. I have to turn the speaker up so loud to hear the dialogue, that it blows me away when music or other background effects come on. I, by no means, consider myself a audiophile. Just an average person trying to upgrade my tv speakers. This soundbar IS an upgrade over most tv speakers, just not very helpful if you cant even hear what's being said on the tv. Hope this helps someone.
