I bought this case for my iPod Touch mainly for use when I go golfing or camping. For those activities I have really enjoyed useing this product. When I first got it, it was much bigger than I expected. I would use it alot more if not for the bulk of the thing. Besides the size, the only other downside is the ease of use. Getting my ipod into the case isn't difficult, it's just a chore to do so. Once you get your device into the case, I suggest you have planned in advance to leave it in there for the duration of whatever activity you have in mind. I would also recomend having your device fully charged because you cannot charge your device while it is in the case. Another thing that would have been usefull is an external volume control. On my touch, this is only a minor bother when useing apps like my kids sing along that does not have a volume control built into the app, if I were able to use the external volume controls on my device this would have not been an issue. The upside is that I feel very comfortable now taking my ipod outside with me to play. After my recent camping trip I was greatfull the case was durable enough to protect my ipod from drops that would have no doubt caused scratches and for preventing a larg amount of dust from even landing on it.
Well... it is OKAY!!!! If you do not mind buying lots of batteries or having recharables

I read the reviews and it seemed like a good deal. The Sound quality for the tiny speakers is decent. It arrived quick and in good shape.

BUT... When I read it did not come with a jack to be able to plug it in, I just thought it did not come with a plug and cord. No biggie I have one which works with almost anything. But what everyone meant is that THERE is NO JACK on the speakers itself to plug into. I thought people would want this clarification.

It has two head phone jacks and a on/off Switch - No volume no big deal for me. Will hold quite a large ipod or iphone and has an insert to do so.

For the most part it is a nice item. i will have to see if some electronic genius can add a power jack to it.

Neat thing to have.

I got this for $12.99, and I have to say that for what I paid for it, I got more than I expected. Well worth the money, however I might have been disappointed if I had paid $30. The speaker isn't very powerful (hard to hear over the crashing waves on a windy day at the beach), and it's bulkier than I expected. On the good side, it's easy to use, and I feel my iPod is well protected inside the case while I'm at the beach. And if the sand ruins it, at least I haven't lost much. :-) Great deal on a nifty little item.
Disappointed in this case/ Loved the first one/ They are NOT all the same

The clear plastic that covers the face on this itouch is too loose and not pulled tight. This makes this product difficult to use the itouch it covers because you cannot push the icons. The first case I bought like this works great. On the first case, the plastic covers the itouch so securely it's hard to remove itouch from case. So, I now know they are not all the same. Disappointing. The other attributes of the case are great.
A Better Choice!!!

I just got mine & I simply love it. I have a Sansa Fuze so it is a bummer that I have to open the MP3 player part to turn it off, but I knew it would be that way with my on/off button on the side. My hubby has a Nano & it is great for his since he can turn his IPOD off on the front button. The sound is superb...better than I even thought it would be. There are 2 external earphone jacks which will be great for 2 person listening on a plane or somewhere in public. I think I will probably download some kid book reading for my daughter to listen to on the road. I am also going to use this instead of a docking station. I am just going to use rechargeable batteries.
In reaction to some poor reviews: I do agree with a 1* review that you would not want to wear it around your neck... you would totally get beat up by it :) There is not an external sound knob. You control the volume with your MP3/IPOD. There is an external on/off sound button. If you are looking for a small case, this is not for you. I don't see a problem with the comment about no foam pieces to protect your IPOD. You would not want to throw this case around b/c of the speaker & your IPOD is securely fastened in the front. Battery compartment has a ribbon piece to pull the batteries out! I think others were just a little harsh with their reviews, but that's just my oppinion.
Larger than expected, high quality, could be better designed

Approximately 7"x4.25"x2.25" it is larger than I expected. The speaker half of the case is larger than similar travel speakers and includes a nice but un-necessary feature of two headphone jacks. The 4 AAA batteries are stacked two deep and not directly above each other, making them difficult to insert or remove. This case is designed for iPod products and comes with adapters to hold the various sizes, and has a Velcro strap to hold this all in place when you unzip it. It's a nice design, but it makes it difficult to remove to do something like hit the on switch. I am using it with a Sansa Clip, which it holds without an adapter simply secured under the Velcro strap. I don't have touch sensitive buttons, so the controls work nicely, but unfortunately my mp3 players volume control is on the side, and must be accessed by opening the case. It has a nice rugged design that I would trust in most situations, and an inversed zipper (meaning that instead of being a waterproof zipper, it's turned inside out so the flaps protect the zipper).

I'm giving it three stars because it shouldn't need to be this big, and the battery compartment is very poorly designed.
Great Buy, Great Case

I bought this device because I wanted travel speakers for road trips and I wanted something to keep my iPhone dry and clean when I go to the beach. I haven't used it for the beach yet but the travel part worked out great. What I do like about it is that it can be used as a speaker or a headphone player for when I need to keep the sound private. My iPhone has a ifrogz cover on it and the fit is a little snug as someone here mentioned. But that's OK. Better tight than loose. It's a steal at this price too.

My only complaint is the lack of a power cord or some way to power it without using batteries. Four AAAs will require me to get a AAA battery charger and some re-chargeable AAAs which I do not have. That is the only reason why this thing gets 4 stars. I now have hope that my iPhone will not get wet or get sand in it this summer from the beach. It closes completely and will keep it dry and sand-free. And for that I am very happy.
