I purchased a refurbished unit for a cool $99.00 from Best Buy to use in my small boutique. I had already had to return a previous purchase of a different brand and have had pretty disappointing results over the past few years with the smaller shelf systems I bought.

The iSymphony was different from the moment it came out of the box. Set up was a breeze and took just a few minutes. Being able to set up the wireless speakers was such an improvement over ugly speaker wires half across the shop and trying to hide them out of sight. The quality of sound is great and the unit is very easy to use via the remote. I mostly have used it to play CD's and also tracks from my USB drive (quality on the USB was a little worse than from CD). I can't review the ipod feature since I don't currently use it.

The only two drawbacks I can find on the unit is that when it initially powers on it always defaults to the FM radio setting which is annoying, I'd prefer for it to default to something quiet. The other is that the ipod dock is a bit confusing to open & close since they are done in different ways and the open button is hidden from sight and makes you want to force it open and possibly break it.
A Very Expensive RADIO!

The only functions that work on mine are the FM radio and the alarm function (only through the radio). The vertical CD player does not work. The skipping is so extremely bad that it is unusable. I searched other reviews and found this is a recurring problem. The company says that it is the purchaser's fault for having scratched discs. Reviewers suggested a disc scratch remover unit used many times. After purchasing a scratch remover, using two bottles of accompanying fluid, and trying new CD's (more $$), it just doesn't work. The iPod Touch adapter is very 'finicky', can rarely get iPod to work. This unit is a major disappointment. I purchased it for the CD/iPod capabilities, not for the radio!

The product is a good quality but we noticed that we don't hear very much base sound.
Don't purchase from MyIsymphony until they get their customer support problems cleared up

I purchased this wireless system having previously purchased two smaller wired units and have been very satisfied with them.
On March 5, 2010 I put a CD into the cdplayer and when it was finished playing I pressed eject and nothing happened. It was stuck inside the unit. I looked through the manual for help. Nothing.
Called and wrote tech support and never even got to a person. Just an automated system that says leave your name and number. OR when I emailed, I received an automated response telling me they would get back to me -- more than two weeks later. I have yet to hear from them.
I have NEVER heard from the tech support line that I called on March the 5th. It is now march 26th. Still nothing.
If you go to their "Customer service" page you will find a telephone number listed under Customer Support. That number is reported as a nonworking number.

I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you DO NOT purchase the wireless systems from Myisymphony until they resolve their tech/customer support problems.
Call them and see if you can get through to a customer support person BEFORE you make a purchase to see if things have changed.

I am very disappointed now, having once been a strong supporter of their equipment.

This is an awesome system. My whole family now owns one after my mom purchased one earlier in 2009. The only complaints that I have are the CD player sound is not so good (then put 'em on the ipod, no big deal) and the remote doesn't always do as it's told, but maybe thats just user error;) ANYWHOO, my husband set this up in a matter of minutes while we were listening to cds on our (much more expensive than this) cd player system. As soon as it was hooked up we switched over and MAN the SOUND! It's great! So clear. Really good buy, I would recommend and have recommended this system to friends.

PS extra speakers are great too!
Do not buy. Junk product and lousy customer service.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this piece of junk. I have had two units from two different Costco stores 275 miles apart with the exact same problem. Everything sounds good at first but shortly there after half the music on a given song on the CD player is missing. We ALL know what "Paperback Writer" by the Beatles is supposed to sound like it was pretty obvious something was wrong. This was a brand new Factory CD. We tried the CD on another CD player and it sounded great. Put it back in the i-Symphony and the problem was still there. Seems like the CD laser isn't tracking correctly. The exchanged unit did the same thing but interestingly enough, the missing music was different instruments and vocals this time. Plus, the CD player would not acknowledge that a CD had been inserted. It kept saying we needed to insert a CD. After ejecting a couple of times it finally played it. The i-Pod seemed to sound okay except you really had to wiggle the i-pod around to get a connection, even with the provided custom fit inserts. Their Tech department was not any better. After emailing them I received no answer within 2 days so I inquired once again. They were basically useless saying they have never had this problem before and wanted to know if the CD's were factory or burned and if we had WiFi in the house... (Who doesn't these days?). I responded with answers to their questions and have gotten no response once again now after 4 days. I called and left a message with their Tech Department 2 days ago and have not gotten a response. I'm thinking this is a flakey company as no matter what extension you call (and you are given 3 choices when you call), "All representatives are on the line with other customers". I have called numerous times at different times of the day with the same recording. It sounds line a one man operation to me. Take your hard earned money and go with a more reliable product and company.
