I bought these JVC headphones as I have a hearing loss and I always get complaints about the TV being too loud. I bought JVC because I have a JVC sound processor. My impression of the headphones is that they are not a well-designed unit.

I have experienced two main problems with this headphone/transmitter set. First, the positioning of the headset in the charger/transmitter has to be perfect or the headset will not charge. And it is very problematic to position the headphones in the charger in exactly the correct manner. If the headset is not perfectly placed, it will not charge the batteries. Therefore, intelligent user-friendly engineering of the charge/headset combo is really lacking. Secondly, the transmitter on my unit will suddenly go off and transmit loud static! That will wake you up real quick! The sound may stop transmitting for up to a minute or more, and then it will come back on. The problem became more frequent so I finally stopped using the headset entirely. JVC has the WORST customer service center in the entire civilized world, (I have tried to get other JVC items serviced and have had nothing but trouble with them), so I junked the unit. I bought a Sony headset and so far it works great.

My advice is to avoid this JVC product.

I bought these headphones so I could listen to music and podcasts while doing chores around the house and I am very happy with them. The sound quality is very good and the range is excellent. Despite their size, they are quite comfortable. I have worn them for a maximum of 9 hours at a time between charging and the batteries have lasted just fine. Unlike a couple other reviewers, I have not had any difficulty charging them. (You just line up the socket on the headphones with the charging tabs on the base.) There is occasional static when I’m near the edge of their range or near certain appliances (like a running microwave), but this is to be expected with any 900MHz radio device. All in all, these are very good for the price.

This product outperforms with the price tag. If you are picky about perfect sound quality, this is not for you. If you just settle for FM radio quality and everyday use, 5 stars, no question.

They work great. I have no previous experience with headphones of this type but they did what we wanted them to do. We got them for our hard of hearing mother so she could listen to TV without disturbing my day sleeping husband. The only improvement I would make would be an easier way to get the headphones on the charger. Although we can do it, it was clumsy for an elderly person. All in all, they were certainly worth the price!

I bought this one and liked it well enough that I bought a second one. The first one was for my wife to watch TV with, but I also used it on my CD player. Sound is great. I bought a second one so she could watch TV and I could listen to music at the same time. The transmitters are at opposite ends of the couch. I set the transmitters on different frequencies, and the headphones on different receiver frequencies. Absolutely no interference from each other. Plus, you can change the receiver frequencies and listen with both headphones to the same source.

Anybody who has problems with these wireless headhones needs to read the instructions. They excede the quality and performance as advertised.
