Item Description

TV Ears Wireless Speaker System brings sound of your television to you. It's like putting your ear up to the television's speaker, so it eliminates the need to crank up the volume. Because it is wireless, the speaker can be positioned anywhere within view of our television for optimum TV listening. This speaker also sounds great when playing music channels. It has a simple one dial design that turns speaker on, off and adjusts the volume. The proprietary Voice Clarifying Circuitry manipulates high frequency sounds so that the hard to hear words and whispers "jump out" makng television dialogue easier to understand. The wireless speaker works indepndently from the television volume, so the television speakers can be set on low or mute, and your TV Ears Speaker can be turned up to your liking. For the times you want to TV without anyone else hearing (private mode), plug any standard headphones or ear buds into the headphone jack located on the front of the speaker (ear buds are included with the system).Customer Support: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Pacific time zone: 888-883-3277.

This item is exactly as described. It is easy to set up and use and has made a big difference in my TV watching experience. I like that it is wireless and can also be used with ear buds. It is not unsightly so therefore it looks fine wherever you set it up.
only static

You don't want to bother anyone and want to be independent; you don't hear too good, but you don't want to stop enjoying your favorite movies, news, etc. Well, this was my choice and it worked better than I thought. You connect the transmitter unit to the audio jack (for me it was on the side of an LCD TV, connect the power to it with supplied power cube, that's it for the transmitter side. Set your speaker unit near you and connect the power to it. You're done.
Turn your TV on, drop the volume to any desired setting (even none), turn the Volume control on the Speaker to your desired volume or connect furnished earphones for complete privacy and enjoy. If your mate wants more volume use the Remote. The Unit has a higher frequency volume augmentation built-in which makes people with high frequency deficiency (can't hear high tones with speach or music) enjoy their audio sounds. I got this for my good friend - who is really enjoying the "ears". By the way, if you're having a problem finding the audio output jacks on your TV, ask your grandkid super computer kid - he'll find it. Regards to all, enjoy, NikonNick

I bought it for my mother who is losing her hearing. I was impressed with the sound from the system. It was very clear. On another review someone complained about the sound of it with music. It isn;t the best for music but for the majority of the stuff on TV, it works great. I was also worried about the link between the two units being that it is done with infered technology. I tested the unit behind the couch and even worked there. It worked great for me.
Great for ttwo TVs in a room

Set up was very easy. Quality of sound is good. I bought it for my elderly parents who has two TV's in the same room. Instead of blasting two TVs, one of them has TV ears and the room is quieter. I would recommend it if you are hard of hearing and need the speakers close to you.

It has great tone but is easily affected by sounds in the air. I get a lot of static and then some very loud interference even in the middle of the night when nothing else is on. If I were to do it over again I would spend and another $100 and get a better sound system.
